Photoshop paint study of a photo taken by Paolo Roversi.

Done while attending college, this was an assignment designed to help learn paint in photoshop. Had a really fun time painting it together - learning about layers, masks, stamps, and brushes.

Done in my final year of highschool, a reproduction of a 1911 painting by Jules-Alexandre Grün.
Acrylic, Pastel, Pencil Crayon, Watercolour, Projector

"
These are the seasons of emotion
And like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion
I see the torch we all must hold
This is the mystery of the quotient quotient
Ah, upon us all, upon us all a little rain must fall
"
a photoshop study of Jimmy Page

“It’s dark because you are trying too hard.
Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly.
Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply.
Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.
[…]
So throw away your baggage and go forward.
There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet,
trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair.
That’s why you must walk so lightly.
Lightly my darling,
on tiptoes and no luggage,
not even a sponge bag,
completely unencumbered.”
― Aldous Huxley, Island
This is a pasteurized photo of Aldous Huxley used to drive holdout masks with custom text. Separated in the layers are words from his book, Brave New World.
